Resurrection Kids

Ages Kindergarten-Elementary At Resurrection we love our kids and desire to point them towards Jesus. Our aim is to help develop each child's relationship with the Lord in an environment that is safe and fun. Every week we plan various activities - songs, scripture memory, story presentation, wondering questions, catechesis (teaching of doctrine and the faith), prayer, and many reflective and creative responses geared to a variety of age groups using God's Big Story (GBS) curriculum. (Please hyperlink to the words "God's Big Story" https://www.anglicannetwork.ca/gods-big-story). Through this gospel-driven and Christ-centered children's curriculum, we invite our kids to enter into the narrative of God's abounding faithfulness and love for all of his beloved children.

Music

We are a singing church! The goal of our music ministry at Resurrection is to assist the entire congregation in singing praises to God. We like to sing songs that are theologically sound, with a soft spot for those rich hymns of long ago. Our parish is made up of people from many different denominational backgrounds and you will be sure to hear songs that reflect this mosaic of church traditions. Our desire for congregational worship is helped immensely by the fact that we meet in a heritage church building with the most incredible acoustics.

Hospitality

At Resurrection our hospitality ministry is exactly that - a ministry. We see it as a means by which believers can encourage one another, listen to each other, and share a good laugh, (or cry). Every Sunday after church we offer coffer, tea, and treats. We meet in our hall, and if the weather is nice outside, we enjoy the outdoor gardens, (especially the kids). Every few months we have a Fellowship Lunch and all are welcome!
